How It Works

We keep the process as streamlined as possible to accommodate treatment schedules:

Step One: Getting to Know Each Other
Contact our President at amy@legacymission.org to schedule an initial phone screening for you, a family member or friend in order to help us understand your situation and address any questions you may have.

Step Two: Planning
At a prep meeting (in person, video or teleconference), we will agree on logistics for the video shoot, including participants, location and topics. Suggested topics will be provided in advance.

Step Three: Video Shoot
We prefer to come to you, usually to your home. The crew of four includes lighting and audio technicians, an interviewer and a videographer. The shoot lasts three hours. Setup and takedown of equipment usually takes one hour each.

Step Four: Production                                                                                                                        We will provide links, via a secure network, to video clips once edited and, as needed hard drives. From there, it is yours to share as you wish. Typically there is one high level “overarching video” that may resonate with larger audiences and we may ask permission to post on our website. No videos are shared without client consent.

Payment:
Families are not charged for anything – not the shoot, nor travel expenses, equipment – anything. The Legacy Mission relies on donations from others. A posted overarching video for one family can be shared with their network to help “pay it forward” to the next family but families are under no financial obligation.

Legacy Mission is a 501(c)(3). Donations are tax deductible. Staff take no salaries or stipends.
